00:00:00: feel the fear and do it anyways, because the more you do anything that better will become.
00:00:06: And I'll say that again β The MORE YOU DO ANYTHING THAT BETTER YOU'LL BECOME!
00:00:12: Hi & welcome to LEADWELL.
00:00:18: My guest today is Pritny Cosgrove.
00:00:22: Hi Pritney Hello
00:00:24: thankyou for having me
00:00:26: Sure.
00:00:27: so Pritni You work with leaders and organizations on personal brand?
00:00:33: Really exciting presence, which is my main topic.
00:00:37: So I'm really looking forward to that.
00:00:39: and also communication And you don't do that too just talk about the optics or increased performance but Also as something deeply rooted in clarity alignment and how we show up when it actually matters?
00:00:55: Now i am interested In exploring what personal brand means to you.
00:01:01: once we strip away visibility metrics and start talking about the nervous systems, values & trust.
00:01:09: And I know that there are quite a few things people get wrong when they think of personal brand.
00:01:17: so what is it most people gets wrong?
00:01:19: So
00:01:21: good!
00:01:22: So many questions around personal branding.
00:01:30: authentic, just that authentic goodness.
00:01:34: That authentic energy is very much them.
00:01:37: how can we bring that through?
00:01:39: and your messaging in your conversations?
00:01:42: In the graphics that you use with your business?
00:01:45: aka How Can People Feel You And Your Essence And Your Energy Come Through Into Your Business?
00:01:53: I work with a lot of entrepreneurs, solopreneurs and small business owners.
00:01:59: All of who are trying to find ways of putting themselves out there And that's really where i see the mindset getting in the way of success.
00:02:07: because people think when you're selling either services or products People think In order to sell You have put yourself And instead, I help them create what's around their personal brand so that it's not as personal.
00:02:23: People can reject your services they're not rejecting and then from there how can we just bring their energy through even more?
00:02:30: How can people really feel... What is this that you are bringing with the business or organization?
00:02:39: Authenticity alignment is always a pillar because when someone feels like That's when they buy.
00:02:46: And that's where your business can scale, and the growth really
00:02:49: happens.".
00:02:51: I love you for mentioning authenticity because what i find is it hard to describe at least me
00:03:05: as
00:03:06: authentic but in different roles.
00:03:10: And I'm acting differently, performing differently and communicating differently...and it's still me!
00:03:19: So what is this authenticity for you?
00:03:24: It's exactly that β the yes-and because we're going to act differently and talk differently depending on who we're surrounded by.
00:03:40: So when you go to the gym versus, When You Go To Work
00:03:43: vs.,
00:03:44: When You're Hanging Out With Friends Or Family...you are always gonna have different hats that your wearing but at The end of the day..You Are The One Wearing The Hat And That's Where The Authenticity Comes Through.
00:03:56: Because There Is A You An Essence To You That is underneath every single layer that there is.
00:04:04: And what that means, Is whether you're going into the gym to see your friends To go to work Whatever it is.
00:04:11: There's a deeper component to You that never changes.
00:04:14: It is unshakable and THAT IS YOUR AUTHENTIC SELF!
00:04:19: AND THAT'S WHAT WE BRING THROUGH.
00:04:21: SO IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER WHERE YOU'RE AT WHAT YOU'RE DOING WHO YOU'RE SURROUNDED BY because the energies might change, sometimes we're more tired than we are.
00:04:30: Sometimes were excited.
00:04:31: that's all very natural and human And The authentic version of you is what's underneath?
00:04:38: All of that the version of view that never leaves That's always present and so that's like that deeper sense of self.
00:04:48: Does it also require for someone to be vulnerable and show their vulnerability?
00:04:53: would you Expect that as a prerequisite for having your strong personal brand?
00:05:02: I would say yes, you want to be vulnerable and it doesn't mean you have to sacrifice privacy.
00:05:09: So I want to differentiate those two things.
00:05:11: Vulnerability is showing people like peeling back the layer, taking off the mask letting go of any performance energy and you're just showing up exactly who you are.
00:05:23: Letting the world see yo sharing parts.
00:05:28: So that's vulnerability.
00:05:30: You still get to have your privacy, it doesn't mean you need a name or personal information like that.
00:05:38: It does not even mean you should be super loud on social media or anything in this realm.
00:05:44: Its really just about letting people see and feel your fullness Your whole self.
00:05:53: And that's not just the highlight reel.
00:05:55: That includes the vulnerable moments.
00:05:57: I'll share it for myself and what i really hear with a lot of people that have stepped into my world is, one of these strongest lessons in things we can learn from Is when you see someone else peel back their layers and share the real truth behind scenes.
00:06:13: So its'nt like the highlight reels making all this money All these clients All those fancy exciting thing.
00:06:19: Yes!
00:06:19: Thats an amazing part.
00:06:22: And there's a lot of hours that go in behind the scenes.
00:06:26: There are a lot tears and yells, and bouts at the gym to get out frustration...and things like that!
00:06:33: A real human component is letting people see where we bring vulnerability.
00:06:40: What happens under stress?
00:06:42: How can I maintain my personal brand under pressure or high-stress situations?
00:06:50: This is an excellent time to bring in the power of presence because more present we are with ourselves.
00:06:56: In every moment, The less energy that we're expending in different directions.
00:07:02: and so when you slow it down And look at this stress pressure that your feeling there's generally two different versions It either going be external So maybe have deliverables or a boss Or some outside force Layering on that pressure Or it's internal.
00:07:20: You are the one that is creating a pressure, maybe you're perfectionist or high achiever and performer And if I put pressure on...I get results.
00:07:33: So its more self-inflicted In either direction.
00:07:37: Pressure doesn't have to be bad And there's a way that we can work and create the results without buying into the pressure story.
00:07:47: So this pressure is A strategy, and it helps to get you where you need to go.
00:07:53: There's an opportunity to upgrade that approach and upgraded that strategy so that there are more ease of flow.
00:08:00: For people who're listening like I have so much going on!
00:08:08: where I was, i hear you.
00:08:11: And something that you can start to do starting today is just create a little bit more space and to ease the pressure even for next couple of days.
00:08:20: try it out.
00:08:21: experiment Just take one-to three minutes every day To breathe Literally closing your eyes or softening your gaze Take in moment to breath into body Really being In That exact Moment.
00:08:39: And if there are thoughts, the mind is active.
00:08:40: That's okay always coming back to the breath and that's literally one two three minutes that can completely change the trajectory of your day.
00:08:50: Similarly If you can find where that pressure is coming from so it fits an internal Pressure.
00:08:58: So I'm a very strong perfectionist.
00:09:00: and that as I have a lot of that internal that internal pressure What is a deeper desire to it?
00:09:07: Like, what's the intention of that pressure.
00:09:11: For example... A lot times I see people who feel that pressure thinking they need do something right.
00:09:18: They're looking for the right way to execute their plan.
00:09:23: The reality is is that there's very rarely an actual right or wrong path, it's just what makes the most sense for you.
00:09:32: That is a joy of entrepreneurship as we are all on our own unique journeys and that means that you get to build exactly how you want to.
00:09:41: so from there let that pressure... It just wants you to get to the other side-it just wants that result!
00:09:46: So if you can see like how its trying to support you then bring through the intention without buying into
00:09:56: And of course, whenever I'm present.
00:09:58: I can make much better decisions and I can think much more clearly.
00:10:02: so i love it because that's exactly what I am always also teaching and telling everyone.
00:10:09: then sharing with my clients is one to three minutes Is enough?
00:10:13: I call them micro resilience breaks Because its really micro.
00:10:17: even ten seconds is more than nothing.
00:10:20: It just doesn't matter off doing it and focusing on your body, on your breath or any other of your senses.
00:10:29: Wow great!
00:10:30: Yeah so what is it that people can do to use their and leverage their personal brand?
00:10:40: To build trust over time?
00:10:42: So Is It More That They Need To Be Consistent Or Is It That We need to be likeable ?
00:10:50: What is it builds the trust over Time?
00:10:54: Ah, great question.
00:10:56: There's two components to this.
00:10:58: the first is going to be consistency.
00:11:00: you absolutely named it in order To build trust not only with any audience You're trying to grow or With Any Visibility that you're Trying to Be seen In but also with yourself?
00:11:10: You need to be able to Trust and rely on Yourself First and foremost.
00:11:14: so they more Consistent you are The More you're Naturally Building up That Trust.
00:11:18: because oh I'm Going to show Up.
00:11:20: if i say i'm going to do something It's going to happen.
00:11:23: I'm gonna show up for
00:11:24: it.".
00:11:25: And similarly, the people in your world are going know that about you as well.
00:11:30: Oh!
00:11:30: When Christine says X Y and Z?
00:11:33: I can trust her because she shows up.
00:11:35: She is consistent.
00:11:37: It really just creating sustained evidence That you're a real person.
00:11:42: You do know what we talk about.
00:11:45: You have an authority In our industry.
00:11:48: The other component Is authentic peace.
00:11:51: So right now, especially if you're in the online space.
00:11:53: There's so much noise there are countless examples of how people can show up on line.
00:12:00: that show Up In The World?
00:12:02: There is so many different directions.
00:12:03: You Can Take Literally Any and Every Industry.
00:12:08: I'm a life coach That Can Mean A million Different Things Based On A Million Different Life Coaches.
00:12:13: So It'S Really About Coming Back To Who Are You?
00:12:20: What makes you different?
00:12:21: what makes you a real genuine gem and not just another number or Another person on the screen?
00:12:29: And The more authentic.
00:12:30: You are,the more that resonates and translates when you're speaking to others whether That's online Or in a real conversation.
00:12:37: because people can feel the truth behind what your saying.
00:12:41: They Can Feel that Conviction they know it can feel that YOU believe in your product or service, whatever it is that you're building.
00:12:53: That authenticity ripples out from there and so to build trust around this personal brand both with yourself and others those are the two components to prioritize.
00:13:07: how consistent can be?
00:13:09: How much more
00:13:10: authenticity bring through?
00:13:15: we need to appear personally because you obviously don't have any issues speaking in front of a camera and nor do I. But there are quite a few people out there that don't like to be on videos, they don't want to speak in public or appear on social media.
00:13:32: so what can?
00:13:40: I didn't speak like this.
00:13:47: It's been practice.
00:13:48: and again, This is another consistent component.
00:13:51: it's that dedicated time where you show up for yourself to enhance your skills.
00:13:56: That's what practices.
00:13:58: You're enhancing skills because most of what we're doing?
00:14:02: It's all just skills.
00:14:03: posting on social media.
00:14:05: That's a skill.
00:14:06: sending out a newsletter.
00:14:07: That's the scale.
00:14:09: inviting people into Your working world.
00:14:14: And in order to enhance those skills and grow ourselves as business owners or as entrepreneurs, within our personal brand we always need to be refining those skills.
00:14:26: So there is a difference between it being out of integrity and out of alignment...and they're just being fear!
00:14:33: If you are full now then I celebrate that I love when people know something's not for them.
00:14:39: But if there is a part of you that's, oh it'd be...I would like to but i can't-i'm too scared.
00:14:43: There's that doubt and kind of contraction feeling You feel yourself wanting to hide.
00:14:49: This Is For You.
00:14:50: Just do It Feel The Fear And Do It Anyways Because the more you do anything That Better You'll Become.
00:14:58: Now Say That Again!
00:15:04: It's that consistent practice and refinement.
00:15:06: And taking the feedback, help yourself support your self in allowing yourself to grow.
00:15:13: let yourself be a student so you can just continue get better more efficient to get more results.
00:15:22: but it is not personal.
00:15:23: all of this data was a little bit tangent I hope supports.
00:15:29: on other hand with AI at this moment, I would not be hesitant to actually create an avatar and use that.
00:15:38: And use my AI personality to get out there and let her or him share
00:15:44: my
00:15:45: message because nowadays
00:15:48: they
00:15:48: look pretty natural!
00:15:52: It's wild but there are so many tools and resources available especially today.
00:15:57: yes So many different ways you can do it, even if your just taking photos of scenery or you're taking a video while out on the walk and then doing voice over onto that.
00:16:06: Or put words overlaying into it.
00:16:10: There's so many different way- Yeah!
00:16:12: Or utilizing AI You create network people creating content for you.
00:16:19: there are SO MANY different ways to utilize the resources in the online world without necessarily needing to put your face as a poster child for your personal brand.
00:16:32: Now, when someone wants to start working on their personal brand where should they not start?
00:16:39: By looking at what everyone else is doing because there's no perfect formula for creating a personal.
00:16:50: Every single person that you look online, they did it their way.
00:16:52: There's strategies there is.
00:16:54: You know things out work better than others But there's no one set roadmap.
00:17:00: so Get inspired by what?
00:17:03: Others are doing.
00:17:04: let them be an example to you of What's possible knowing that it's not always a full story and your only seeing One side other life.
00:17:12: but Let That Be An Example That Calls You Forward versus trying to recreate what someone else has done or how someone else is building up their own brand.
00:17:23: So it's really about finding that genuineness and again, coming back to authenticity.
00:17:29: It's not about what others are doing.
00:17:31: Let go of trying to re-create.
00:17:33: let go of comparing in How everyone else is doing?
00:17:37: Instead focus on what lights you up What feels so exciting for you What is it that you want to bring to this world?
00:17:46: That your heart is singing, To let people in on.
00:17:49: To help people with like.
00:17:52: I always say what's On Your Heart?
00:17:54: It's here for a reason!
00:17:56: Its looking to be brought to This World.
00:17:59: So what Is that?
00:18:01: and Let that Be the North Star.
00:18:03: As You're Building Up Your Brand And Business
00:18:06: Wow...and what has brought you to that work.
00:18:11: So what was your impulse?
00:18:13: To get into that direction, to work with personal
00:18:15: branding?".
00:18:17: So back in twenty-twenty when I actually found the world of entrepreneurship...I left my corporate direction and opened my first online business.
00:18:28: And it's at the end of that year that i've found The Coaching World and What Coaching Can Be!
00:18:33: And started training next year.
00:18:35: Ever since I founded coaching My it's like my soul knows.
00:18:40: this is why I'm here.
00:18:41: This is what i'm here for and From there, I've always felt so aligned with helping others Not only just see their alignment but embody Their alignment.
00:18:55: not only to say oh big dreams are possible But they're possible for you Like helping people step into that place of power and authority, knowing that what's on your heart is here for you.
00:19:11: From there it has just been a journey of supporting people who have come into my world whether they are business owners or non-profits looking to build out their personal branding.
00:19:22: like cosmetologists musicians artists different ways bringing work in the world through line I notice across People are always looking to find what's the right way?
00:19:37: To do things.
00:19:38: What's a bright way and I found so much liberation both for myself And in helping others realize that doesn't exist Because at the end of day you get to build your life, your business Your brand For you by You through you and That's why excites me is helping people feel so aligned in tune with what they're building and their life, took that and ran with it, just be you.
00:20:31: And show more of yourself to the world!
00:20:33: The world would become even brighter...even more magnetic....even more magical because THAT'S what the world needs is each one of us bringing our hearts forward and being our unique beautiful selves in this world.
00:20:48: Wow yeah so thank YOU for being this unique beautiful soul.
00:20:52: Brittany It was great having you and yeah Thank You For All You Do.
00:20:58: Thank you so much for having me.
00:20:59: It's been
00:21:12: amazing!
